Micah and Marie-Helene are documentary filmmakers who have worked extensively in Iraq covering the story of cultural destruction since 2003.  They are in post-production on a feature length film, The Road to Nasiriyah, which tells the story of the looting of archaeological sites in southern Iraq following the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and the efforts of Abdulamir Hamdani, an Iraqi archaeologist, to save those sites.

They have produced several news documentaries about Iraq and cultural history, as well as articles and photographs for the New York Times, New York Times Magazine, Granta and the Associated Press.

They have directed award-winning documentaries for Al Jazeera English, and their work has been appeared in the New York Times, Vanity Fair, HDNet World Report, BBC America, the Financial Times and Michael Moore’s award-winning film Fahrenheit 9-11.

Micah and Marie-Helene founded Four Corners Media in 2000, a documentary production company focused on work in conflict and post-conflict regions.  Micah studied Mesopotamian history and languages at Cornell University prior to working as a filmmaker and journalist.
